Infra-Red Fencing

Long range active infrared beams create an invisible security barrier around a protected site, ensuring that intruders are detected the moment they attempt to enter.

With a range of up to 150 metres between towers the system allows apertures from a few metres to many kilometres to be effectively protected.

Instead of a standard graded or logic alarm response system, the systems infra red beams are monitored by a RISC microprocessor running a neural network capable of making millions of decisions per second.

Neural networks are being developed for many applications to simulate the process of the human brain. Unlike conventional computers, they learn from real experiences as opposed to mathematical models.

Neural Networks can continue learning once operational, improving their decision making in relation to a specific environment. Human intruders are detected whether they are crawling, walking, running, jumping or rolling. Objects such as small animals, birds or blown debris will be ignored, resulting in fewer nuisance alarms.
