Conventional Magnetic strip or the latest Proximity readers for non contact reading, Smart card readers allow cards to be read, then written with updated information or a monetary value.

Hands free readers offer ranges of up to three metres. Digital readers offer even greater reading ranges and can be linked together to provide direction sensing logic.

Microwave readers provide reading distances of up to ten metres and can read a badge or tag travelling at over 70 miles per hour.
